FOUNDER
Hi, I’m Suryansh Somani, the founder of ARMORO. I’ve always believed in creating products that are built to last—functional, reliable, and classic. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in manufacturing, I learned the importance of quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. These values are the foundation of ARMORO.
ARMORO isn’t just about products; it’s about inspiring people to step outside, dream big, and live a life full of experiences. Whether it’s exploring the great outdoors, creating memories on the road, or simply finding joy in the little moments, I want ARMORO to be part of your journey.
OUR STORY
Back in 2017, as an off-roader and Mahindra Thar Old Gen owner, I quickly realised that every other Thar owner had the same problem as mine - the company-fitted soft top fell apart pretty soon and getting a new one was like a treasure hunt.
Either you were at the mercy of your local seat cover maker to stitch your soft top with lack of quality fabric and trim options or look for another Thar owner or workshop who had converted their Thar to hard top and had the stock soft top for resale.
For me, neither did I have the time and patience to personally visit the local stitcher, nor did I want to spend money on the same inferior soft top for my Thar again.
Despite the 4X4 scene having picked up in India, a serious soft top solution was completely missing and there was a general lack of quality accessories in the market.
That’s when I decided to take things in my own hands.
OUR STORY
With our experience in manufacturing canvas soft tops and accessories for Land Rovers for a British brand, there was no reason why we couldn’t make a soft top for our beloved Thar!
And so we did.
I wanted a durable and high quality product. So we didn't compromise on any aspect and made the same international quality as we did for others.
I wanted to order it on a click of a button and get it delivered to my doorstep. So we made a website and launched with just 1 product!
I didn't want to do any modifications or drill holes on my Thar, and install the soft top at home, myself - so we made it a principal to design everything to be DIY.
I wanted a product that works the best for me. So the form always followed function and made our design process simple - make it, use it, then make it better and keep repeating this process.
